About Us
At Lott Physical Therapy we offer, in our opinion, the only real ‘Fountain of Youth’. Physical therapy (PT) is care that aims to ease pain and help you function, move, and LIVE BETTER. Our Doctors of Physical Therapy are here to: relieve pain, improve movement or ability, and prevent or recover from an injury or surgery.
Our Drs of PR start by focusing on helping people complete the full cycle of recovery: REDUCE PAIN…RECOVER MOVEMENT…RESTORE STRENGTH AND FUNCTION. This ensures that upon completion of a treatment program, you are either in the best physical health ever OR you are on the best path to getting there. In addition, we believe in teaching while we treat – so you can learn what may have caused your condition and how you can prevent future problems. Not the best ‘business plan’ because our goal is to make you independent in your own care, but we believe when you do not have to come back to see us for the same problem, we have done our job.
The Lott Physical Therapy Fitness Center offers our members many different exercise options to continue to maximize health and active living potential.
What Makes Lott Physical Therapy Unique
All of our PTs have their Doctorate and are currently working on or are already Board Certified Clinical Specialists. This is a BIG deal in the PT profession with <4% of all PTs nationally having achieved this recognition. This makes Lott Physical Therapy possibly the only outpatient clinic in Texas with this overall designation.
The PT clinic and Fitness Center combination is rare. We started the Fitness Center almost 20 years ago with the initial focus being to allow my PT patients an opportunity to transition to independent exercise with continued guidance or “better direction”.
The Fitness Center has grown over the years, but the focus still primarily caters to our golden years population and helping them experience the infinite “Fountain of Youth”.
Our Story Creating A True Family Owned and Operated Business
Lisa is a Nurse Practitioner and David is a Physical Therapist. Neither of our training involves running a business in any way. We are only trained in how to help people. David has the big ideas; Lisa comes behind and works the details – together creating facilities in both Fairfield and Corsicana.
Our first location opened the summer of 2001 – 6 weeks before we were married! Needless to say – no honeymoon. In 2006, David talked Lisa into leaving their tiny 1400 sq ft practice on Keechi Street in Fairfield and moving into their current location on Hwy 84. Of course, we ran out of room and added another 2000 sq ft there making it an 8000 sq ft facility.
David thought it would be a great idea to build another location in Corsicana – so we did – of course, we can’t do anything ‘just a little bit’ and our son, Brian Nold, built a beautiful building on 2nd Ave and that area just kept beautifying from there. Stress, sweat, preserving muddy foundations with leaf blowers for winter holiday concrete pours while penny pinching at home to make the numbers work are memories we’ll talk about for years to come.
David loves to tell the story about how Lisa gathered and poured hotel shampoo bottles into the last large bottle in the shower while telling him ‘You can’t spend a dime!!’
COVID-19 definitely was our largest challenge, but we have an incredible Leadership Team that got us through. To add to that drama, we learned in June that the building we are leasing in Fairfield is being purchased by Tractor Supply – we need to find a new location. Yet another challenge.
Grit your teeth, don’t panic, put your heads together – lets figure this out. Sooooo… This year will be our 20th year in business and we look forward to celebrating it in our new Brian-built beautiful facility in Fairfield just across Hwy 84 from our current location.
Lisa and David Lott are very thankful to our truly incredible 34 strong group of employees and our family. This is, no doubt, a small town, family-owned business with children and parents involved every day.
Our communities, members and patients provide us with stories and joys over and over again. Nothing makes us prouder than to see our 80 and 90+ year-old fitness members pumping iron or seeing that chronic back pain patient walk out the door waving back saying ‘I feel great – I should have come to you 15 years ago!
We would change nothing!
